Accuracy of Information
Louisiana agencies, parish offices, school systems, utilities, and carriers change phone numbers, hours, and procedures without much warning. Numbers get reassigned. Departments move or merge. Even the dialing rules shift.
The last few years show how quickly that happens here. The 337 and 504 regions moved to 10-digit local dialing in October 2021 because the 988 crisis line took over an exchange those areas were still using. North and central Louisiana went through the same change later, when 457 was added as an overlay on 318 and 10-digit local dialing became mandatory there on August 25, 2025. A page written before either change would now be wrong. We work to keep ours current, but we cannot promise that every detail is correct at the moment you read it. Before you rely on a number you found here, call the office and confirm it.

We point you to the state agencies, parish offices, municipalities, carriers, and numbering authorities that do hold those records. To verify a listing or get one changed, you have to contact that office or carrier directly.
